The BLUE VOLTIGE "patrol of dancing-vintage-motorgliders" was born in spring 2000 from an idea of two pilots friends, both with a passion for vintage airplanes:
Fabio Iannaccone and Ivan Prizzon.
The denomination "patrol of dancing-vintage-motogliders" indicates the semi-aerobatic character
of the show performed by the two Fournier motorgliders (RF4D and RF5);
BLUE VOLTIGE after an intense workout, determination and team spirit, has been able to develop and coordinate
a flight program of the duration of 15 minutes, consisting of special effects and emotions, in which the two quite and stylish
looking motorgliders safely draw sweet and harmonious figures in the sky, looking like a ballet in the air, unique in its kind, emphasized by background music and the use of smoke.
Since its establishment BLUE VOLTIGE has enjoyed considerable success and appreciation
among professionals and among the large audiences present at several national events,
BLUE VOLTIGE participates in all major national air shows where also the "Frecce Tricolori" perform,
including the Open Day organized by the Italian Air Force and also in many international events.
The base of operations is in Italy, at "Jonathan-Field" airfield, that is a beautiful green area along the Piave river,
embedded in the Grave di Papadopoli, Treviso.
From here the BLUE VOLTIGE patrol regularly takes off to its workouts and to join in various events organized throughout Italy and Europe.
